Unnamed Prayer

Among the few ephemera which survived the incident of 1847 is a prayer, written via quill on parchment. The deity in question has yet to be confirmed. It matches no known handwriting samples.

Our salvation who dwelleth below,

Unknowable be thy many names.

Let the veil grow thin.

Give us this night our hidden truths,

And forgive us our ignorance,

As we untether the burthens of fear.

Lead us not towards our shackles,

But towards ourselves anew.

For thine is the dark,

The flesh,

And the binding.

As it has been written.
